Psychotherapy and Counselling in Bath Hello and welcome to my website. "...the work we have done together has opened up the world for me." My name is Brendan McLoughlin and I have been a psychotherapist for over 20 years. I am commited to offering counselling and psychotherapy in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment. "...your patience and understanding have helped me to accept myself." I have developed a way of working that aims to honour and respect the experience of each individual and which seeks to promote genuine growth and well-being. My training and experience have given me a broad grounding in working with individuals, couples and groups and in time limited and openended therapy. "...thankyou for staying with me through all the pain and difficulties." In my work as a therapist I am interested in finding ways to meet the needs of each individual client as they try to work through their problems and achieve a better understanding of themselves. I work from the position of respecting the reality and experience of each person, including ability, ethnicity, age, belief, gender and sexual orientation. I have a particular interest in working with difference and work from an affirmitive stance with gay and lesbian clients. "... therapy has been a challenging journey, but I know without it I'd have given up on everything." For clients who are some distance from Bath I am willing to offer telephone consultations. I offer counselling, psychotherapy and supervision for individuals and couples from my practice just 2 miles from the centre of the historic city of Bath and within easy reach of Swindon, Chippenham, Gloucester, Bristol, Frome, Trowbridge, Bradford-on-Avon, Glastonbury, Wells, Weston-super-Mare and Cardiff. I am easily accessible by car and public transport, bus number 13. There is on street parking. To visit bathpsychotherapyservice bathpsychotherapy service
